Current opportunities to help local seniors:

Meals on Wheels - Driver

• Monday - Friday positions available
• 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
• Deliver to housebound seniors in Truckee and Northern Lake Tahoe areas
• Vehicles provided
• Help establish and promote a backup driver program

Contribution Volunteer

• Pick up items contributed to Sierra Senior Services
• Pick up bread from Safeway - Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings

 Dining Room Volunteer

• Staff Registration Desk
• Decorate for holidays
• Promote education seminars for seniors - art, language or finance
• Promote activities
• Promote musical performances

Kitchen Helper

• Assist with special events and holidays
• Fill-in as vacation relief
• Dining room clean up
• Kitchen clean up
• Dishwasher

Fundraising Support

• Assist at quarterly pancake breakfasts
• Assist with fundraising events
• Promote senior sponsorship

Office and Vehicle Support

• Graphic Design support
• Clean, organize and file
• Design flyers
• Weekly gas and fluid checks for vehicles
• Seasonal assistance
